Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services in Petaluma, CA is hiring an Intensive Behavioral Support Provider to work with children and/or adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors. The role offers one-to-one behavioral intervention under supervision and data collection within a supportive team.

Responsibilities include implementing Behavior Support Plans, assisting with daily activities, and helping clients with self-care, communication, and social skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in educational or healthcare setting preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience with individuals with special needs who display challenging behaviors.
• CPR/First Aid certification current or willingness to obtain.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one behavioral intervention services to individuals with developmental delays and challenging behaviors.
• Assist with daily program activities in areas of self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior and crisis intervention.
• Assist client with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, meal preparation and feeding, dressing and ambulation.
• Implement and collect data of the behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan.

Education
