Job summary

A Better Way ABA is seeking a part-time Behavior Technician (BT) to deliver in-home ABA therapy for children with autism under BCBA supervision. The role focuses on implementing behavioral plans, collecting data, and maintaining accurate records while collaborating with families and the therapy team.

The position requires strong communication and organizational skills, HIPAA confidentiality knowledge, and a minimum of one year working with children or in related fields.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year experience with children or related field.
• Experience in ABA or related roles preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality laws.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one in-home ABA therapy to children with autism.

• Collect accurate data during sessions to monitor client progress.

We are seeking a part-time Behavior Technician (BT) in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

BTs work directly with individuals with Autism and related behavioral challenges, implementing behavioral services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

• Collaborate with the therapy team (BCBAs, other BTs, and parents/guardians)
• Respond promptly to client, family, and supervisor needs
• Communicate clearly and effectively with families and supervisors

Job Requirements

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: At least 1 year working with children or in a related field
• Related roles include: Paraprofessional, Special Education Teacher/Assistant, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Autism Aide, ABA Therapist, Childcare Specialist, Daycare Worker, Direct Care Worker, etc.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA confidentiality laws

Work Schedule

• Part-time: 15-30 hours per week
• Must be available after school hours and/or weekends
• Most sessions begin after 3:00 PM
• Immediate start available in North Yonkers 4:30pm to 7:30pm and 5 hours on weekends.
• 20 Hours a week.
