Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team is seeking an In-Building Wireless Designer to perform basic technical duties under supervision, coordinating with project managers and discipline leaders. The role develops iBwave models, conducts site surveys, and prepares client deliverables within defined budgets and timelines.

Candidates should have an accredited engineering degree and 5+ years in the industry, with proficiency in iBwave, CAD, Bluebeam, and Revit.

Qualifications

• RF design principles including best practices for minimizing noise and interference
• Able to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, specifications, technical procedures, and government regulations
• Communicator who effectively conveys scope and coordination items to clients, vendors, and co-workers

Responsibilities

• Develops iBwave models for CDAS and ERCES with minimal supervision
• Performs site visits for surveys, progress inspections, and final punch lists
• Prepares project deliverables per the client’s intent and scope of work in Stantec's proposal
• Follows Stantec’s quality management process; reviews deliverables before QA/QC
• Participates in engineering/professional community for growth
• Meets or exceeds utilization goals and adheres to project budget
• Assists or acts as project manager: plan tasks, coordinate precursors across disciplines
• Creates detailed instructions, delegates tasks, reviews work for timely execution
• Identifies potential roadblocks and competing priorities impacting scope/schedule/budget
• Develops understanding of Stantec’s accounting and project management systems
