Job summary

Stantec in Chicago is seeking an In-Building Wireless Designer to perform basic technical duties, coordinating with the Project Manager and discipline leaders. The role involves developing iBwave models, conducting site surveys, preparing client deliverables, and supporting project management tasks.

The candidate will follow Stantec’s QA/QC processes, contribute to professional growth, and help ensure projects stay within budget and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Develops iBwave models for CDAS and ERCES with minimal supervision.
• Performs site surveys, progress inspections, and final punch lists as required by project timelines.
• Prepares project deliverables per the client’s intent and scope of work in Stantec's proposal.
• Follows Stantec’s quality management process; reviews project deliverables before submitting to QA/QC reviewer.
• Actively participates in the engineering/professional community to build personal knowledge and professional growth (e.g. attend meetings / seminars / conferences and/or write articles for trade magazines.)
• Meets or exceeds utilization goals and adheres to project budget.
• Performs duties to assist or act as the project manager as follows: creates plans to complete tasks within timeline and budget, identifies precursors from other disciplines, creates detailed instructions, delegates tasks, and reviews work for timely execution within budget.
• Develops understanding of Stantec’s accounting and project management systems.
