Job summary

Communication Technology Services CTS is seeking an Engineer in building RF Design and Deployment to lead iBwave-based RF design for DAS deployments across buildings nationwide.

You will refine designs for coverage and capacity, manage submittal packages, and coordinate with field teams and SPEs. The role emphasizes thorough documentation, vendor familiarity, and remote collaboration with a focus on delivering high-quality wireless infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Proven iBwave skills; Level 2 certification or equivalent.
• Experience creating or reviewing mobile operator submittal packages with understanding of operator design requirements.
• In-building wireless experience with multiple DAS OEMs (ADRF, Corning, Andrew, SOLiD, etc.).
• Past experience with commissioning and optimization to ensure field teams perform the work correctly.
• Experience using project management tools to guide and track deployment activities.
• Strong documentation and stakeholder communication; ability to work with remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Review and optimize iBwave DAS designs for carrier compliance.
• Refine designs to meet coverage, capacity, zoning, and venue constraints.
• Create and manage mobile operator submittal packages through final approval.
• Develop project-specific signal source BOM aligned with objectives.
• Document radio and IP networking design; craft detailed rack and wiring diagrams.
• Coordinate field teams to ensure correct site installation and cabling for signal sources.
• Coordinate with onsite SPEs; travel to sites when required to perform SPE role.
• Commission signal sources with carriers and OEMs; optimize DAS gains, AGC, and balance noise floors.
• Plan and oversee acceptance testing such as e911 Functional Call Test and walk tests.
• Coordinate post-install data collection; close-out packages and issue resolution.
• Ensure KPIs (e.g., 95% design area coverage) are met in close-out reports.
