Job summary

DriveTime is seeking an Impounds Specialist in Fort Worth, TX to manage all aspects of the impounds process. You will determine vehicle fate, secure units from impound yards, and negotiate fees with facilities to optimize profitability while ensuring compliance with relevant laws.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
3+ years in loss mitigation/collections in financial services.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook/Word).

Responsibilities

Conduct phone and/or email conversations with impound facilities to gather information and negotiate fees.
Determine whether to secure or abandon vehicle based on business criteria.
Complete legally required state impound packets to secure vehicles.
Collaborate with recovery agents/impound facilities to recover assets efficiently.
Document location, reason for impound, and total fees for vehicles.
Negotiate impound fees to maximize number of units secured for resale.
Route accounts to abandonment queues if not worth repossession.
Follow up with impound facilities to confirm locations or renegotiate on fees.
Assist other departments with impounds-related inquiries.
Ensure impounded accounts are routed to collections queues and properly documented.
