Job summary

Paylocity is seeking an Import & Export Representative in Greer, SC to join our customs brokerage and freight forwarding team. You will manage importing and exporting processes, communicate with clients and authorities, and ensure timely, compliant clearance and invoicing.

The role requires knowledge of import procedures, export controls, EEI filings, and coordinating carrier bookings to keep cargo moving and compliant.

Qualifications

• Client relations: primary contact for assigned clients, building relationships.
• Import documentation: review invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, origin certificates.
• Customs clearance: oversee clearance process.
• Billing: bill clients, vet payments to vendors.
• Export documentation: prepare and process export docs.
• Export compliance: ensure regulatory adherence.
• Export bookings: create bookings, coordinate with carriers to meet cutoffs.
• Dispatch: coordinate trucking movements.
• Shipping instructions: submit EEI filings and issue shipping instructions.
• Problem resolution: address import/export challenges.
• Communication: liaison with clients, authorities, and service providers.
• Reporting: maintain import-related shipment notes.
• Team collaboration: work with brokers and support specialists.
• Development: train team and maintain SOPs.
