Job summary

Sack & Menendez, Inc., founded in 1954, is a customs brokerage and international freight forwarding firm. We seek an account-focused professional to manage daily import shipments, build client relationships, and ensure regulatory compliance across the shipment lifecycle.

You will classify shipments, coordinate CBP releases, and resolve post-entry issues while working with a team dedicated to informed compliance and exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of customs entry-writing experience.
• Customs broker license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for assigned accounts and manage day-to-day operations of import shipments.
• Develop strong relationships with clients by listening and responding to needs, proactively identifying issues and resolving them.
• Receive and review shipment documentation to ensure compliance with federal laws and regulations; follow up with clients and partners for information.
• Classify shipments in consultation with clients and obtain required PGA product information.
• Initiate shipment processing in our customs software, transmit data to CBP and PGAs, and create client billings.
• Coordinate exams and obtain CBP and PGA releases.
• Monitor shipment movements from origin to delivery and secure freight releases.
• Address post-entry issues in consultation with management.
