FreezPak Logistics in Fall River, MA is seeking an Import & Export Coordinator to oversee cross-border shipments, prepare documentation, and ensure compliance with customs regulations across borders.

You will collaborate with vendors, freight forwarders, and internal teams, track movements, and provide regular reports on volumes, costs, and timelines. This full-time, nonexempt role offers growth within a family-owned logistics leader.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in import/export logistics, with experience in cold storage or food logistics being preferred.
• Knowledge of customs regulations, including tariffs, duties, and documentation requirements, preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills for working with vendors, freight forwarders, and regulatory agencies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and experience with logistics software.
• Problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all import and export activities, ensuring timely processing of shipments and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review all required shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant customs regulations, including the proper classification of goods and adherence to applicable tariffs, taxes, and duties.
• Communicate with vendors, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to coordinate shipments and resolve any issues related to shipping or customs clearance.
• Track shipments, update stakeholders on the status of goods in transit, and provide regular reports on import/export activities, including volume, costs, and compliance metrics.
• Work closely with the warehouse, inventory, procurement, and sales teams to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and ensure smooth operations.
