Job summary

FreezPak Logistics in Fall River, MA is seeking a USDA Coordinator to ensure all import and export activities comply with USDA regulations while maintaining health certifications and coordinating inspections. You will serve as a key link between customers, USDA inspectors, and internal teams to keep operations compliant, efficient, and customer-focused.

Requirements include 2-5 years in USDA coordination or food logistics, an associate or bachelor's degree, and any HACCP or USDA compliance

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of USDA coordination, import/export compliance, or food logistics experience.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in food science, logistics, or related field preferred.
  • USDA compliance or HACCP certification a plus.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; proficiency with compliance documentation and MS Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate USDA import and export inspections in compliance with federal regulations.
  • Obtain, review, and verify health certifications to ensure products match documentation.
  • Schedule and oversee USDA inspections, serving as the primary liaison between inspectors, customers, and FreezPak operations.
  • Coordinate labeling, staging, and approval stamping for inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Communicate with customers to resolve discrepancies or reject shipments efficiently.
  • Ensure proper sanitization of USDA inspection rooms following each inspection.
  • Assist with customer service functions, billing reviews, and shipment scheduling as needed.
  • Train additional team members on import/export procedures and compliance standards.

About the Role

As our USDA Coordinator, you will ensure that all import and export activities comply with USDA regulations, maintaining the accuracy of health certifications, coordinating inspections, and facilitating communication between customers, USDA inspectors, and internal teams. You'll play a key role in keeping our operations compliant, efficient, and customer focused.

What You'll Do

What You Bring to the Pak
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in USDA coordination, import/export compliance, or food logistics preferred.
  • Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in food science, logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Certifications: USDA compliance or HACCP certification a plus.
  • Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, proficiency with compliance documentation and Microsoft Office, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in cold storage environments as low as -10°F.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift as required for job duties.

Pay Range: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour

This pay range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the starting hourly compensation for this role at the time of posting. The actual rate will be determined based on a combination of factors including experience, qualifications, work location, and internal pay alignment, in accordance with applicable laws.
