Description

Location: Open to Remote or in the following locations - Columbus, OH, Atlanta, GA, Dallas, TX, Greenwood, IN, Charlotte, NC, Orlando, FL

SUMMARY

The primary mission of the Facilities Implementation Specialist is to facilitate successful inventory solution implementations. This position provides implementation support from the pre-implementation phase (including onsite customer data collection and material identification), through the implementation phase, and post-go-live support. The role includes implementing various inventory management solutions such as crib bin management, onsite store/shop, vending machines, etc. Additionally, the Specialist will provide ongoing support to internal and external customers and conduct solution maintenance to ensure long-term success and profitability.

Compensation: Salaried at $59,000.

Location: Employee will travel weekly to customer locations. Can be based anywhere in the US within a reasonable distance to an airport.

Schedule: Scheduling and travel are based on customer needs, with up to 95% travel. Candidate should have easy access to an airport.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist Sales Team with inventory management implementations, including data collection, physical inventory counting, site setup, software installation, system integration, customer training, and ongoing support.
  • Organize inventory areas, set up bins, and create EOQ baselines.
  • Provide weekly updates on implementation status and lead local teams during large projects.
  • Develop project scope and resource requirements for large-scale implementations and train customers on new solutions.
  • Maintain general knowledge of inventory solutions (CIM, VMI, POU, web-based) and product offerings.
  • Ensure excellent customer relations and support non-cross-referenced items database entry.
  • Manage travel in accordance with corporate guidelines.
  • Support the NSI team when not onsite with customers.
  • Participate in special projects and additional duties as required.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required. 2+ years related experience. Familiarity with industrial products, procurement, and sales skills preferred. Customer interaction and problem solving experience a plus. Strong organizational skills required.

Qualifications

Must perform duties satisfactorily with the following skills:

  • Language: Read, interpret business and technical materials; communicate effectively.
  • Mathematical Skills: Perform basic calculations, percentages, and rates.
  • Reasoning: Solve practical problems, interpret instructions, exercise judgment, and analyze data.
Other Skills and Requirements

Maintain confidentiality, plan and organize effectively, communicate clearly, work independently or in teams, proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, SAP), travel 80%, valid driver’s license required.

Physical Demands

Regular talking, hearing, standing, walking, sitting; occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs; vision requirements include close focus and adjustment.
