We’re Hiring: Dental Software Implementation Consultant
Location: Nationwide Travel Required
Engagement: Contract, Assignment-Based
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands‑on Dental Software Implementation Consultant to support multi‑site dental organizations during practice management system conversions and go‑live events.
You will work directly with practice employees, providers, operational leaders, and implementation teams to support system transitions, stabilize workflows, troubleshoot issues, and improve user adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site support during dental practice management system implementations and go‑live events
- Support front-office, clinical, and revenue cycle workflows during system transitions
- Serve as a liaison between practice employees, operations, IT, and implementation teams
- Support platforms such as Denticon, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Open Dental, CareStack, or comparable dental systems
- Troubleshoot system, workflow, and adoption issues during go‑live and stabilization
- Validate migrated patient, insurance, scheduling, clinical, imaging, and financial information
- Support workflows including scheduling, check‑in and check‑out, treatment planning, charge entry, payment posting, insurance processing, and claims
- Provide hands‑on guidance and training to practice employees
- Document issues, risks, defects, and implementation status for project leadership
Required Qualifications
- Experience within a Dental Service Organization or multi‑site dental environment
- Hands‑on experience with dental practice management systems such as Denticon, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Open Dental, or CareStack
- Experience supporting dental software implementations, conversions, go‑live events, or post‑go‑live stabilization
- Strong understanding of dental practice operations and workflows
- Ability to troubleshoot system and workflow issues in fast‑paced environments
- Strong communication skills when working with providers, office managers, practice employees, and operational leaders
- Ability and willingness to travel based on client implementation schedules
Preferred Experience
- Dental consulting or practice operations experience
- Software migration, integration, or enterprise rollout experience
- Experience training employees on dental practice management systems
- Knowledge of dental billing, insurance, claims, and payment posting
Work Schedule and Contract Details
- This is an hourly, assignment‑based consulting opportunity
- Hours vary based on confirmed client implementations, go‑live schedules, and assigned project activities
- Weekly hours are not guaranteed, and consultants may have periods between assignments with no project hours
- Go‑live assignments may require early mornings, evenings, weekends, extended days, or schedule changes
- Consultants may record only time spent completing approved project activities, including approved travel, meetings, go‑live support, testing, training, troubleshooting, documentation, preparation, and follow‑up work
- Travel requirements and approved travel time will be communicated before each assignment
Compensation and Engagement
- $50 to $60 per hour for consultants working through their own LLC on a 1099 basis
- A W‑2 option may be available at an adjusted hourly rate
- This contract does not include health insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, or other employee benefits
- No C2C arrangements will be considered
