Job summary

Areté Education in New York City is seeking an experienced Program Director to build partnerships, evaluate, and monitor a program for youth at school-based sites. You will lead planning, oversee attendance, data reporting, and program activities; coordinate projects within budget; recruit staff and students; and collaborate across teams to ensure success.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• 5–8 years of leadership experience in education and/or afterschool.
• Prior internship or work experience with Arete Education preferred.
• Mandated Reporter and related trainings completed.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison for Arete, partnership schools, and supporting partners.
• Participate in weekly planning call with Executive Director.
• Approve payroll hours and schedules for direct reports.
• Oversee student and staff attendance procedures and daily reporting.
• Organize program curriculum binders and digital files.
• Identify needs and facilitate high quality program activities.
• Set and monitor semester SMART goals for program success.
• Coordinate and manage projects within budget.
• Support active recruitment of students and staff.
• Attend program events, training, and staff meetings.
• Collaborate with other program teams across the organization.
