Job summary

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree and experience with developmental disabilities or nonprofit settings, plus strong writing, presentation, and facilitation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Understanding of service philosophies and best practices of the policies and procedures for all ESMW programs and at least 1 year experience with individuals with Developmental Disabilities or other nonprofit organizations; plus 2 years in adult learning, instructional design, and curriculum development techniques.
• Practical knowledge of funding systems, accreditation standards, organizational policies and procedures; strong problem solving, critical thinking, and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver presentations and programs to enhance skills of newly hired and current staff.
• Evaluate and prepare training materials such as outlines, text, and handouts.
• Ensure training environment promotes maximum learning and effectiveness, including setup, supervision, and clean-up.
• Develop or obtain training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials such as handouts and visuals.
• Analyze the agency's training needs, and plan development or changes to meet them.
• Identify and assess training needs by consulting with managers or surveys.
• Facilitate individualized or group trainings outside of the office for direct care staff; revise materials as needed.
• Investigate and determine contemporary best practices from internal and external sources.
