Job summary

State of Missouri is seeking a Staff Development Training Specialist for the St. Louis Developmental Disabilities Treatment Centers.

The role focuses on developing and delivering training programs, administering certifications, and coaching staff to ensure knowledge transfer across departments. You will teach New Employee Orientation (NEO) and support CORE classes such as CPR, First Aid, Safety Care, and Advanced Safety Care, while maintaining flexible shifts to meet the facility's training

Qualifications

• Two to four years of relevant training experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain certification in CPR, Safety Care, Advanced Safety Care, etc.
• Current DMH employees applying for this position must be free of discipline for six months. To promote to this position, you should be free of discipline for twelve months.
• This position will be filled with the most qualified candidate after consideration of each applicant’s interview, work experience, work performance, training, and other background information.

Responsibilities

• Developing and delivering training programs.
• Administering assessments and certification requirements.
• Providing coaching and ensuring knowledge transfer.
• Training staff in areas such as professional development, supervisory and managerial training, e-learning, and continuous improvement.
• Teaching New Employee Orientation (NEO) and assisting with CORE classes including CPR, First Aid, Safety Care, and Advanced Safety Care.
