State of Missouri is seeking a Staff Development Training Specialist for the St. Louis Developmental Disabilities Treatment Centers.

The role focuses on developing and delivering training programs, administering assessments, and ensuring certification compliance, with responsibility for New Employee Orientation and CORE classes. The position requires 2–4 years of relevant training experience and the ability to obtain required certifications.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of relevant training experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain certification in all required trainings (CPR, Safety Care, Advanced Safety Care, etc.)
• Current DMH employees applying for this position must be free of discipline for six months. To promote to this position, you should be free of discipline for twelve months.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver training programs aligned with facility needs.
• Administer assessments and certification requirements; provide coaching and knowledge transfer.
• Teach New Employee Orientation (NEO) and assist with CORE classes (e.g., CPR, First Aid, Safety Care).
