Job summary

The Easterseals organization is hiring a Community Services Specialist to support clients with developmental disabilities in daily programming and activities. You’ll provide direct care, mentor clients, and follow individualized plans while ensuring safety and engagement.

Responsibilities include transportation support when needed, participating in staff meetings, and maintaining accurate handwritten records and communications. The role requires flexibility and a valid Missouri driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• College credit in human service or related field preferred.
• 1 year experience with individuals with developmental disabilities with behavior disorders preferred.
• Valid Missouri driver's license and current vehicle insurance; safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, quality programming and direct care as outlined in the personal plan.
• Support clients with daily activities in group settings or individually.
• Ensure clients are safe, healthy, and engaged according to the schedule.
• Attend staff meetings after program hours and coordinate transportation when needed.
• Maintain basic records and documentation with accuracy.
