Baker Distributing Company is seeking a Training and Development Specialist to design, develop, and deliver high-quality training that enhances employee performance. You will organize employee development events and support a full range of learning activities.

The role emphasizes instructional design, engaging learning experiences, and translating complex information into accessible training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Certification (CPF) a plus; LMS and development experience recommended.
• Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices; ADDIE knowledge a plus.
• 1–2 years facilitating training/workshops preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and collaboration tools like Teams/SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and deliver live training sessions, workshops, and on-demand programs.
• Lead interactive learning experiences and manage group dynamics.
• Create an inclusive learning environment encouraging participation.
• Assess learner comprehension and adjust delivery in real time.
• Support end-user access to the Learning Management System.
• Ensure LMS performance aligns with business needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify training needs.
• Design and develop criterion-based training assessments.
• Collect feedback to improve training effectiveness.
• Maintain training documentation and files.
• Assist with audits of training records.
• Deliver and process enrollments of e-learning courses.
• Design learning solutions using instructional design methodologies.
• Support training needs analysis for new and existing employees.
• Coordinate and schedule virtual vendor training sessions.
