Job summary

State of Missouri is seeking a Staff Development Training Specialist for the St. Louis Developmental Disabilities Treatment Centers.

The role focuses on developing and delivering training programs, administering certifications, and coaching staff to ensure knowledge transfer across departments. You will teach New Employee Orientation (NEO) and support CORE classes such as CPR, First Aid, Safety Care, and Advanced Safety Care, while maintaining flexible shifts to meet the facility's training

Qualifications

• Two to four years of relevant training experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain certification in CPR, Safety Care, Advanced Safety Care, etc.
• Current DMH employees applying for this position must be free of discipline for six months. To promote to this position, you should be free of discipline for twelve months.

South County Habilitation Center (SCHC) is currently recruiting to fill a Staff Development Training Specialist position. This position is located at South County Habilitation Center, 2312 Lemay Ferry Rd., St. Louis, MO 63125. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with Sunday/Saturday/Holidays off; however, you will need to be flexible in working various shifts as required by the facility’s training needs.

What You’ll Do

This is a specialized professional training and development position accountable for developing and delivering training programs, administering assessments and certification requirements, providing coaching, and ensuring knowledge transfer. Employees train staff in areas such as professional development, supervisory and managerial training, e-learning, and continuous improvement, using established educational requirements and job specific procedures and policies. This position will be responsible for teaching New Employee Orientation (NEO) as well as assisting with SLDDTC CORE classes including but not limited to CPR, First Aid, Safety Care, and Advanced Safety Care.

Eligibility

Two to four years of relevant training experience.

Ability to obtain and maintain certification in all required trainings (CPR, Safety Care, Advanced Safety Care, etc.).
