Job summary

Dysart Unified School District is seeking a paraprofessional to support students with disabilities in a Special Education setting. The role involves assisting the Special Education Teacher with IEP implementation and program activities within the classroom.

The position requires handling of daily living activities and maintaining confidentiality under FERPA, with opportunities for professional development and collaboration with staff and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AA degree or 60 college credits or Dysart-approved exam.
• First Aid/CPR certification required (in person).
• AZ Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Special Education Teacher with the implementation of Specialized Programs and IEPs.
• Plan and carry out activities/work assignments for specialized programs and students.
• Maintain confidentiality under FERPA and protect student information.
• Prepare instructional materials and assist with daily living activities (hygiene, transfers, mobility, etc.).
• Support behavior management and record-keeping; attend district professional development.
• Assist with Medicaid reimbursement logs and related documentation.
