Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• RI Dept. of Education Teacher Assistant Pre-Employment Training Program completed.
• Spanish language fluency highly preferred.
• Pass ParaPro Assessment OR 2 years of college OR an associate degree.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Work with students one-on-one or in small groups under the supervision of a certified teacher.
• Implement individualized behavior plans and/or specific daily schedules.
• Observe and document student progress in support of IEP.
• Assist with preparation, completion and submission of student-related paperwork.
• Implement the PVD Prep curriculum, systems and philosophy daily.
• Attend school daily, per the calendar.
• Model PVD Prep’s core values (Professionalism, Resilience, Excellence and Pride).
• Participate in coaching and professional development to improve instructional practice.
