Global Psychological, a Chicago-based education services provider, is seeking a Special Education Case Manager to oversee IEP/504 processes and ensure regulatory compliance across school partners. You will guide case management, supervise staff, and collaborate with teachers, families, and administrators to deliver essential supports to students.

The role requires a Master’s in special education with LBS1, Illinois PEL, and 3+ years of experience in K-12 settings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in special education, curriculum and instruction, or related field (degree may be in progress).
• Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement.
• Certification such as Supervisor, Administrator, or Director of Special Education (may be in progress).
• At least three years of special education experience.
• Strong understanding of special education requirements in K-12 settings.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate IEP and 504 meetings, timelines, and ensure full compliance with state and local guidelines.
• Create, maintain, and audit records and documentation to meet legal and administrative requirements.
• Assess and monitor student needs and help design individualized instructional methods and supports.
• Oversee special education services and ensure they are delivered as outlined in the IEP.
• Collaborate with the District Discipline Team to ensure fair interventions for students with behavior concerns.
• Address problems or emergencies through investigation, data review, and action planning.
• Support the Testing Coordinator by ensuring students have proper documentation for accommodations.
• Supervise and support special education teachers and paraprofessionals including scheduling, onboarding, coaching, and performance improvement.
• Ensure staff understand FERPA and other requirements.
• Build relationships with teachers, administrators, families, and outside agencies to support student needs.
• Lead departmental meetings and participate in committees, trainings, and school-based initiatives.
