Job summary

The Salvation Army Austin Corps is seeking a Social Services Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of community programs. You will supervise staff, ensure compliance with program policies, prepare client records, and build partnerships with agencies to support referrals and advocacy.

The role includes grant research, reporting, and clerical support to keep programs running smoothly, with opportunities to contribute to program development and community outreach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Two years experience providing assistance for those in a nonprofit environment.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Valid State Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, coordinates, monitors, and participates in day-to-day operations of social services programs.
• Prepares client and statistical records/reports; builds relationships with other agencies for referrals and advocacy.
• Performs clerical and secretarial work to support smooth program operations.
• Trains staff and ensures compliance with established policies and procedures; provides input to performance evaluations.
• Liaises with community agencies and coordinates with partners to support client needs and referrals.

Education

High school diploma or G.E.D.

Two years experience in nonprofit environment

Valid State Driver's License
