Job summary

Thompson Child & Family Focus, Inc. is hiring a Shift Lead for our Youth Residential Programs in Tennessee. The role provides operational oversight, coaching, and coordination across transitional housing sites.

The position requires leadership experience in youth services, trauma-informed practices, and the ability to manage day and night shifts. We offer comprehensive benefits, professional growth, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• High School Diploma/G.E.D required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Two (2) years’ experience in a residential youth operation or related field.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care, child development, and crisis intervention.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching, feedback, and support to Youth Care Specialists.
• Assist with onboarding new staff, including training coordination, badge setup, and documentation.
• Serve as a point of contact for YCS staff when Supervisors are off-site.
• Monitor daily operations across sites, ensuring staffing and shift coverage.
• Ensure accurate documentation of youth interactions, shift notes, and incident reports.
• Assist in audits and ensure documentation meets standards.
• Monitor adherence to trauma-informed care principles and contract goals.
• Collaborate with Supervisors and Coordinators on staffing and service delivery.
• Participate in team meetings, hiring panels, and planning sessions.
• Relay feedback to leadership for resolution and improvement.
