Job summary

Paylocity in Idaho Falls seeks a Housing Specialist I to support the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program. You will manage participant caseloads, process applications and recertifications, and coordinate between participants, landlords, and program staff.

You will perform eligibility determinations and rent calculations per HUD and organizational policies, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Experience in housing assistance or social services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage participant caseloads and process applications and recertifications timely.
• Assist with lease-up procedures coordinating participants, landlords, and staff.
• Conduct eligibility determinations and rent calculations per HUD and policy.
• Maintain detailed records of participant files, transactions, and documentation.
• Ensure activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
