Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited college or university
• Valid license as a speech-language pathologist granted by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations
• (TDLR) or Bachelor’s degree and valid Texas Education Agency speech therapy certificate

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent evaluations and provide individual and group therapy aligned with IEP goals
• Develop clinical management strategies and diagnostic statements
• Participate in ARD Committee and interpret assessments for placement and goals
• Consult with colleagues, students and parents on therapy goals and remediation
• Collaborate with teachers to plan activities to improve communication skills
• Provide professional development in schools to address communication deficits
