Job summary

Texas City Indep School Dist is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to plan and provide services to students with speech, voice, or language disorders under IEP goals. Assess needs and deliver therapy to help students benefit from the educational program.

This role requires a Master’s degree in speech-language pathology and a valid Texas license or TEA certificate, plus collaboration with teachers and ARD committees. Some travel between campuses may be required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas license as a speech-language pathologist granted by SBESLPA.
• Or Bachelor’s degree with valid Texas Education Agency speech therapy certificate.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide speech-language therapy for students per IEP goals.
• Evaluate progress and determine readiness for termination of therapy.
• Conduct independent evaluations to determine eligibility for services.
• Participate in ARD committee processes and interpret assessment data.
• Counsel and involve parents; collaborate with teachers on classroom plans.
• Supervise licensed SLPA(s) or speech aide(s) if assigned.
• Maintain records, reports, and ensure policy compliance.
