Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid license as an SLP by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR).
  • (TDLR) or Bachelor’s degree with TEA speech therapy certificate

Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent evaluations and provide therapy aligned with IEP goals.
  • Develop clinical management strategies and diagnostic statements.
  • Participate in ARD Committee and interpret assessments for placement and goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers to plan activities to improve communication skills.
  • Provide professional development to schools on communication deficits.
  • May supervise speech-language pathology assistants or aides
