Job summary

Waco ISD is seeking a Speech Pathologist - ASHA to provide planful speech-language pathology services for students with communication disorders. The role requires ASHA certification, a Texas license, and demonstrated experience in assessment, habilitation, and collaboration with ARD committees.

The clinician will diagnose and treat speech, voice, and language disorders, develop IEP-based goals, and communicate progress to families and school staff.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas license as a speech-language pathologist (SBESLPA).
• ASHA certification.
• Experience planning and delivering speech-language pathology services.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide individual and group therapy aligned to IEP goals.
• Evaluate student progress and determine readiness for termination of therapy.
• Conduct independent evaluations for eligibility of services.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support communication skills.
• Provide professional development to school personnel on communication deficits.
• Compile and maintain therapy documentation and SHARS notes.
