Job summary

TheraPeds Partners is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time, school-based role in Hamtramck, Michigan for the 2026-2027 school year. This on-site position offers guaranteed hours, a manageable caseload, and collaboration with the district and TheraPeds team.

Responsibilities include direct therapy, evaluations, IEP goals, progress monitoring, and collaboration with educators and families.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Michigan SLP state licensure required.
• Michigan Dept of Education credential for school-based practice required.
• ASHA CCC preferred.
• CF-SLP candidates may be considered with supervision.
• Experience working with children in school settings preferred.
• IEP process knowledge and documentation experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Proficiency with technology and documentation systems; fingerprint clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students individually and in small groups.
• Conduct speech-language evaluations and assessments.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized IEP goals.
• Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies based on data.
• Provide consultation and support to teachers, special education staff, and families.
• Support AAC usage where appropriate; monitor progress and adjust plans.
• Complete timely documentation and progress reports; participate in IEP/eligibility/reevaluation meetings.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, therapists, and school professionals; manage caseloads.
