Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Active license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Texas.
• ASHA CCC-SLP certification.
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate needs: Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations to identify students' needs for therapy services.
• Communicate findings: Share evaluation results with parents and district personnel with clarity and compassion.
• Develop interventions: Collaborate with the ARD committee to create targeted, evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Provide therapy: Deliver therapy services directly or supervise SLP Assistants in implementing IEP goals.
• Monitor progress: Maintain accurate records of student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Support team: Participate in ARD meetings, parent conferences, and other discussions to advocate for and support students' special education programs.
