The candidate should hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, an active Texas license, and ASHA CCC-SLP certification, with bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Active Texas license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• ASHA CCC-SLP certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence).
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations to identify students’ needs for specialized therapy services.
• Share evaluation results with parents and district personnel, ensuring clear communication.
• Collaborate with the ARD committee to create targeted, evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Deliver therapy services or supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants in implementing IEP goals.
• Maintain accurate, detailed records of student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Participate in ARD meetings, parent conferences, and related discussions to advocate for students’ programs.
