Job summary

Grant Thornton (US) is seeking a SASS Intern to support engagement planning, testing of controls, and delivering client-ready artifacts. You will contribute to SOC 1/2, HIPAA, and HITRUST projects under supervision, gaining exposure to a broad range of assurance services.

You will work with cross-functional teams, learn our control frameworks, and build client relationships while progressing toward professional certifications and licensing goals.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Technology, MIS or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Desire to pursue CPA, CISA, CIA license/certification preferred.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0/4.0
• Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel 20%-50% as required.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. No visa sponsorship is available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Plan engagement strategy, define objectives, and address business risks and issues and supporting controls.
• Identify business risk management issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Test and evaluate business processes and IT controls to mitigate risk.
• Execute assigned client engagements from start to completion of business processes and information systems.
• Participate in client status updates and draft client deliverables.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of assigned client operations and objectives for engagements.
• Participate in recruiting efforts as needed.
