Job summary

Grant Thornton US is seeking an IT Audit Assurance Intern to deliver a full range of IT audit services for clients. You will test information systems controls and support financial statement audits, working with partners, managers, and senior executives on engagements.

The role emphasizes understanding client operations, information security, and risk management, with opportunities to contribute to business development and recruiting efforts.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, MIS or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Desire to pursue CPA, CISA, CISSP, CIA or CISM license/certification.
• Some related work experience in public accounting or equivalent delivering controls based services, auditing ITGCs in support of financial statement audits.
• Information Security experience or information security training is required.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills.
• Strong technical aptitude and problem solving skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Effective project and time management skills for handling multiple priorities and simultaneous projects.
• Enthusiasm to learn through structured, on-the-job and self-directed training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IT audit services including testing and assessing information systems controls for financial statement audits.
• Collaborate with Partners, Managers, and Senior Executives on engagements.
• Identify security and risk management issues and opportunities for process improvement.
• Interact with client management to manage expectations and ensure satisfaction.
• Meet IT Assurance metrics (billable hours, CPE, time delinquencies).
• Support recruiting efforts and participate in business development activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
