Job summary

Grant Thornton (US) is seeking an IT Audit Assurance Intern to deliver IT audit services in support of financial statement audits. You will work with partners, managers, and senior executives as part of the engagement team.

You will identify IT security issues, understand client operations, and contribute to process improvements while developing essential audit skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, MIS or related field; Master's is a plus.
• Desire to pursue CPA, CISA, CISSP, CIA or CISM license/certification.
• Some related work experience in public accounting or IT general controls testing for audits.
• Information security knowledge or training is preferred.
• Strong client service and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IT audit services for clients, supporting financial statement audits.
• Identify security and risk management issues and opportunities for process improvement.
• Interact professionally with client management to manage expectations and deadlines.
• Develop understanding of client operations and business objectives for engagements.
• Participate in recruiting efforts as needed.
• Meet IT Assurance metrics such as billable hours and time delinquencies.
