RSM is seeking a Risk Consulting Intern who will collaborate with a variety of businesses across industries and gain hands-on client exposure. You’ll work under a Performance Advisor and contribute to risk management and internal controls projects, including SOX and IT controls testing.

Qualifications

• 90 credit hours completed toward degree.
• Working towards B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent from accredited university.
• Majors: Accounting and/or related degrees.
• Majors: Information Systems and/or related degrees.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
• Travel to client locations may be required; reliable transportation needed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong multi-tasking and project management skills.
• Ability to work as an effective team member; high integrity and professionalism.
• Certification or working towards CPA, CISA, or CIA preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients spanning industries including manufacturing, real estate, construction, financial institutions, not-for-profit, healthcare, and private equity.
• Gain hands-on client experience with access to business owners and executive management.
• Receive guidance from a Performance Advisor to develop during the internship.
• Support TRC projects such as SOX/regulatory and compliance engagements, SOC reporting, and IT controls testing.
