Job summary

University of Southern California seeks a Nursing Transplant Coordinator to develop and maintain standards of care for a transplant population. You will coordinate outpatient care, evaluate patients, and support their education from referral through post-transplant follow-up, collaborating with the transplant team and family to ensure safe, continuous care.

Responsibilities include managing donor procurement communications, maintaining waiting lists with UNOS, and participating in policy

Qualifications

• BSN is required.
• MSN preferred or in progress may substitute for BSN.
• Minimum 1 year transplant coordinator experience.
• Experience across multiple transplant types (Heart/Lung/Liver/Kidney) is required.
• 2 years organ procurement and 2 years critical care experience acceptable option.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outpatient transplant care: clinic visits, tests, and follow-up.
• Maintain UNOS waiting list and donor/recipient communications.
• Develop and implement transplant program policies and education.
• Serve as a resource to staff and families; document care and education.
• Ensure CMS/OPTN/UNOS regulatory compliance and accurate data.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team; participate in quality and QAPI activities.
