Job summary

Aecon Concessions is seeking a Retirement & Savings Programs Specialist to support HR in retirement, savings, and benefits programs. You will help develop, implement, and improve programs, processes, and tools to meet department objectives.

The role emphasizes ESPP management, 401(k) compliance, and collaboration with HR, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and vendors to ensure accurate, timely program delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with US benefits and retirement programs.
• Familiarity with pension legislation and compliance/filing requirements.
• 3–5 years of related work experience and a college/university degree.
• Experience with ADP, SuccessFactors, SAP or related software.

Responsibilities

• Support ESPP implementation, setup, eligibility rules, payroll integration, vendor configuration.
• Ensure ESPP administration complies with IRS Sec 423 and securities regulations.
• Manage contribution reconciliation, share purchases, and account updates.
• Coordinate communications, training materials, FAQs, and enrollment campaigns.
• Perform audits of employee contributions, share purchases, and vendor records.
• Support mergers and acquisitions impacting retirement programs.
• Develop procedures to ensure compliance in new jurisdictions.
• Manage annual 401(k) compliance activities and IRS testing.
• Prepare Form 5500 filings and regulatory reporting.
• Serve as SME to HR, Payroll, and employees on retirement programs.
• Provide timely responses to benefits inquiries.
