Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp. is seeking an HR Rep III/IV in Retirement Programs to support defined benefit and 401(k) administration across multiple PA locations. You will handle pension payroll, data reconciliations, and complex reporting while partnering with business units to optimize retirement practices.

The role requires strong Excel/PowerPoint/Word skills and familiarity with Oracle; CEBS/SHRM is a plus. This is a senior HR role within a large utility organization, offering growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline; 4–7 years of relevant work experience, or 7+ years in lieu of degree.
• Proficient written and oral communication; ability to tailor messaging clearly.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Supports administration of defined benefit pension programs (qualified and non-qualified).
• Supports administration of the 401(k) program.
• Performs pension payroll processing and validations; Oracle knowledge is a plus.
• Performs reconciliations and researches discrepancies.
• Assists with special pension-related projects (early retirement options, lift-outs).
• Prepares data for retirements and projections; coordinates with external providers.
• Reviews divorce docs to determine QDRO/ORD needs.
• Performs SOX controls to ensure pension data accuracy.
• Supports pension audits with internal and external auditors.
• Responds to employee questions on retirement programs and distributions.
• Consults with leaders on retirement program practices and processes.
• Delivers pension-related presentations to employees.
• Generates ad-hoc reports and complex analyses.
