Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp is seeking an HR Representative to join the Retirement Programs team. You will support the administration of defined benefit pension programs and the 401(k) plan, partner with business units to attract and retain key talent.

The role involves payroll support, data reconciliations, audits with internal/external teams, and delivering pension-related presentations. A Bachelor's degree with 4–10 years of experience is expected; CEBS/SHRM is a plus.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in defined business roles and ability to solve routine challenges with independent judgment.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Proficient analytical and quantitative skills with data gathering and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Supports the administration of defined benefit pension programs (qualified and non-qualified).
• Supports administration of the 401(k) program.
• Assists with pension payroll processing and validations; Oracle knowledge a plus.
• Performs reconciliations and researches discrepancies.
• Reviews and processes retirements and beneficiary changes; liaises with vendors.
