Job summary

Merakey is seeking a mission-driven Regional Director in Escondido, CA to oversee IDD program operations and guide a high-performing team. You will execute strategic plans, ensure regulatory compliance, and support daily residential services.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years in IDD or behavioral health, plus program management experience and a CA driver’s license. Merakey offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; must have no less than 4 years' experience in the IDD or behavioral health field with, at a minimum: two years in a mental health setting, or two years with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Must have at least two years of program management experience, community residential experience and IDD/DDS/CCL/Regional Center and/or EBSH experience.
• RBT Certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Adult Residential Facility (ARF) Certification required.
• Valid CA Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise team members to ensure fidelity to the model and Merakey mission.
• Coordinate and execute service/operational delivery of activities to maintain full compliance with regulatory and organization requirements.
• Accountable for compliance with payors through contract interpretation and payor requirements.
• Leads all QI initiatives and outcome reporting.
• Understanding Title 17 and Title 22.
• Provide coverage for Program Administrator when off or position is vacant.
• Support daily operations of community residential experience and IDD/DDS/CCL/Regional Center and/or EBSH programs.
