Job summary

Ampact's Reading Corps is seeking a Reading Tutor to help provide 20 minutes of reading practice to pairs of students each school day, with ongoing coaching and training. You’ll work full-time as AmeriCorps member, earning a stipend and education awards while making a measurable difference in student reading skills.

You’ll track progress in data software, collaborate with an onsite coach, and participate in your own professional growth through coaching and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online).
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
