Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. You will work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA to teach communication and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

The role requires patience, teamwork, and a willingness to learn. Training is provided, with opportunities to obtain an RBT certification after onboarding; physical activity is involved and lifting

Qualifications

• Experience with children with autism is preferred but on‑the‑job training is provided.
• Must be able to work as part of a team and be patient and compassionate.
• 18+ years of age and a high school diploma or GED.
• CPR/First Aid certification and TB test required (if not on file in last year).
• Ability to obtain RBT certification after onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one‑on‑one with children, implementing behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence‑based techniques.
• Help reduce interfering behaviors and support family goals.
• Be physically capable of moving, lifting up to 50 pounds, and maintaining safety during activities.
