Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• 2 (two) years of experience working with the public.
• Additional related education may count towards required experience.
• A job offer is contingent on passing a background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and reviews financial and other pertinent information from applicants to determine eligibility for public assistance and Medicaid.
• Verifies information given by applicants by direct contacts, phone contacts and/or home visits.
• Informs applicants and recipients of program requirements and benefits.
• Explains appeal rights and procedures to clients.
• Assists applicants in completing forms and securing documents.
