Job summary

Intermountain Health Garfield Memorial Hospital in Panguitch, Utah is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team. You will perform basic patient care tasks, coordinate with RNs, and may assume Health Unit Coordinator duties as needed.

The role requires CNA and BLS certifications, strong communication, and computer literacy. PRN hours include days, nights, weekends and holidays, with an hourly wage of $18.40–$23.92.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including toileting, bathing, linen changes, hydration, ambulation, and comfort.
• Document patient care data and report changes promptly to RN.
• Monitor patients and assist with telemetry as required on the unit.
• Transport medications to RN as needed.
• Collaborate with the RN and care team to ensure optimal patient care.
• May perform Health Unit Coordinator duties as needed.
• Follow plan of care and perform duties within scope of practice.
