Job summary

Intermountain Health Cedar City Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team. You will perform basic nursing tasks, assist with patient needs, and help coordinate care with registered nurses on the unit.

Shifts include day and night, part-time and full-time opportunities. The role requires CNA and BLS certifications, with strong computer literacy and communication skills to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of practice.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care and respond to patient and family requests.
• Report and document patient care findings promptly.
• Monitor patients and support telemetry as needed.
• Transport medications to the RN on the unit.
• Collaborate with the RN and care team to ensure quality care.
• May perform Health Unit Coordinator duties as required.
• Implement plan of care as delegated.
• Perform duties within scope of practice and safety standards.
• Maintain a safe environment and respond to emergencies.
