Job summary

Catapult Learning, a division of FullBloom, is seeking a Part-Time Tutor in the Bronx/Queens, NY area. You will provide contracted instructional services in reading, mathematics, and writing for students using our proven curriculum.

You will diagnose deficits, coordinate with school staff, and communicate student progress with families while delivering prescribed instructional methods and maintaining lesson plans and records.

Qualifications

• Non-licensed tutors: associate degree or at least two years of college (48 semester hours/72 quarter hours).
• Licensed tutors: NY State Properly Licensed Teacher credentials.
• FBI/BCI background check is required.
• Teaching experience is preferred.
• Belief that all children can learn.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional methods.
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate services for students.
• Communicate progress with parents and document student progress.
• Deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods per the Company.
• Attend training and apply instructional models in reading, mathematics, and/or writing.
