Job summary

OpenEd is seeking a Parent Support Specialist I to deliver exceptional help to families through enrollment, reimbursements, questions, and community events. You will use multiple channels and our help system to respond quickly, document interactions, and ensure accurate information across teams.

This role requires empathy, attention to detail, and a commitment to guiding families through a personalized education plan.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of customer service, account management, or marketing experience.
• Associate’s degree or related advanced learning experiences required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with families.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and immediate support to parents via phone, text, email, online chats, video conferences, and social media forums.
• Triage and respond to parent requests using the help ticketing/CRM system.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and update databases as needed.
• Advise families on development of an education program schedule tailored to their child.
• Collaborate in Parent Support team meetings and ensure consistent information across channels.
• Coordinate with team leads and partner schools on complex situations.
• Manage the intervention process to balance program requirements and family success.
• Assist with daily Q&A sessions and Parent Information Sessions as assigned.
• Plan or assist with community events as assigned.
