Job summary

Blanchard-Valley-Health-System is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support the Occupational Therapist in home health care. You will prepare patients and equipment, assist in administering treatments, and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The role requires Ohio OTA licensure, valid driver's license, and strong interpersonal skills. You will participate in assessments, documentation, and adherence to agency policies within budget

Qualifications

• Must hold Ohio Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Understands and respects patients’ rights.
• Possesses good communication skills and service orientation.
• Valid driver’s license required; must meet BVHS fleet policy.

Responsibilities

• Recognizes the role of the OTA within the Home Health Care team.
• Assists the staff Occupational Therapist in patient assessments and treatments.
• Exhibits independent judgment within scope of duties.
• Reports to RN or OT to ensure quality treatment continuity.
• Applies therapeutic principles and practices consistent with guidelines.
• Documents in accordance with Bridge Home Health and Hospice guidelines.
• Manages assignments and informs management of unusual incidents.
• Uses a team approach with patient and family care considerations.
• Maintains optimal patient care within budget constraints.
• Demonstrates organizational mission, vision and values in service delivery.
• Complies with policies and Medicare/Medicaid requirements.
