At Home Healthcare, part of the LHC Group and within the Optum family, is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide home-based OT services to patients. The role emphasizes following supervising OT plans, adhering to state laws, and delivering evidence-based therapy in patients’ homes.

The position requires current OTA licensure in the practice state and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. CPR is preferred or can be completed within 90 days.

Qualifikationen

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Demonstrate ability to work independently.
• Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.

Aufgaben

• Follow state-specific laws governing the provision of occupational therapy in home care and follow the treatment plan defined by the supervising OT.
• Instruct and aid patients in evidence-based treatment within the scope of the OTA and according to state laws.
• Observe, record, and report to the nurse supervisor and physician the patient's response to treatment and changes to condition.
• Instruct patient, family, caregiver, and other health care team members in therapy areas within OTA scope.
• Function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
